Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro ICU required License: Pending License accepted Certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Neuro ICU experience required - Weekend requirement: Every other - Travel experience required - Interdisciplinary support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Average patient ratios are 1:2 during days and nights. Experience with neuro-specific diseases and procedures is essential. The role includes care for patients with conditions such as SAH, SDH, neuro trauma, and post-craniotomy. Skills required include central line management, pulmonary management, and ventilator management. Additionally, candidates must be able to manage patients on continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade. All procedures must be handled in accordance with hospital protocols. This position requires effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. The nurse will be responsible for assessing and monitoring patient conditions and implementing treatment plans. Candidates should demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
