Description:
RN Neuro ICU ratios: Average 1:2 days, average 1:2 nights.
First-timers accepted.
Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
No on-call requirement.
Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs.
Block schedule accommodation is not available.
RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.
Guaranteed hours available.
Special requirements include Neuro ICU experience.
Type of facility: Short-term acute care.
Total staffed beds: 1,567.
Charting system: Epic.
Patient age groups: Adults, geriatrics.
Daily census: 17.
Number of rooms: 19.
Number of beds: 19.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Patient diagnoses include SAH, SDH, and neuro-specific diseases such as craniotomy and craniectomy.
Special procedures/unit details include EVD placements, arterial and central line placements, intubation, and lumbar drain procedures.
Special equipment includes EVD, lumbar drain, ventilator, and CVVH.
Return staff policy: Must be gone for 2 years to return.
Modules are completed pre-start and annually, and vary by specialty.
