Weekend and holiday rotations are based on operational needs. Candidates must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Epic experience is required. BLS certification is required (AHA only). The traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to starting. The unit is a fast-paced, 28-bed medical-surgical unit. The nursing staff provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. Nurses will care for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. The role includes participation in quality improvement initiatives and leading practice changes. Nurses will collaborate on the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care. Patients include adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include COPD, heart failure, hypertension, diabetes, and infections. Special procedures in the unit include various types of surgeries such as orthopedic and bariatric procedures.
