Description

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool – Wisconsin

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour rotations between 7:00 PM and 7:30 AM, alternating weekends, with holiday coverage as applicable to operations. Patient ratios: 4:1 days, 5:1 nights and weekends.

Highlights:

  • Float across multiple Medical/Surgical units including cardiac, neuro, spine, and oncology specialties in a Magnet-designated Level I Trauma Center
  • Work with complex patient populations in both general care and intermediate care (IMC) units utilizing evidence-based nursing practices
  • Epic EMR system in use; 24 hours of orientation provided
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more
  • Travel nursing assignment requiring prior acute care experience and telemetry competency
  • Adult patient population with diverse diagnoses requiring advanced cardiac monitoring and medical/surgical nursing skills

Requirements:

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Medical/Surgical specialty
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Demonstrated experience working across different Med/Surg units including cardiac, spine, and neuro specialties
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation experience; must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (80% passing score with specific criteria for lethal rhythms and heart blocks)
  • Willingness to float to neurology and oncology units as needed
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
