Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years License: WI RN or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS required (AHA only) Must-Have: Epic experience required; must pass a telemetry test prior to starting Description: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational needs. Traveler must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years. Epic experience is required. BLS certification from AHA is required. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Travelers are required to float as needed. Minimum experience required is two years of acute care experience in the specialty. The passing score for the telemetry exam is 80% or higher. The traveler will have two attempts to pass the exam. If the traveler fails the second attempt, they must submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is assigned. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment. This role requires a wide range of nursing skills including but not limited to accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and telemetry monitoring. The candidate should also demonstrate proficiency in various patient care procedures and protocols. The work demands a high level of responsibility and commitment to patient care. There is an expectation to support a holistic approach to patient health and wellness.
