Job Opportunity – Oncology Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nurse – Ohio

Schedule: Day/Night rotating shifts with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs. Staffing ratios are 1:3-1:4 for PCU and 1:4-1:5 for Med/Surg Telemetry. First week orientation is Monday-Friday day shift, followed by five shifts of bedside orientation, then independent practice.

- Float to multiple oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, and Surgical Oncology
- Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Orientation program includes 100 hours of structured onboarding and bedside training
- Contract includes one pre-approved time off period
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of current, high-acuity Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience or higher required (oncology experience strongly preferred)
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with patient ratios up to 1:5
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- 2 professional references (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements urgently upon contract signing
