Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Every other or third weekend required. Floating to other units within the health system as needed.

- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- Contract duration approximately 13 weeks with one pre-approved time off period available
Requirements
- Active RN license (Compact license or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, intermediate care, or telemetry experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
- Annual flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Strong clinical skills including telemetry monitoring, IV management, central line care, blood product administration, and wound care
- Experience with arterial line management, feeding tube care, heparin and insulin protocols, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor)
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract acceptance
