Job Details

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a surgical unit specializing in colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, urology, and vascular patient care. The successful candidate will work night shifts and is expected to manage a patient ratio of 1:6.

• Shift: Nights; 18:45 – 07:15
• Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer, with an end date of 2/27.
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week available.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Float Requirement: Occasionally required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted.
• Local Candidates: Accepted with no rate differences.
• Skills: IV Start and Telemetry.
• Certifications: BLS certification is mandatory.
• Orientation: 36 hours of unit orientation provided.
• Additional Requirement: Must pass EKG testing prior to starting.

Unit Information

The unit utilizes the following systems: Pyxis, SBAR, and EPIC for patient management and record-keeping. Scrubs should be navy blue or white and are not provided by the facility.

Scheduling

Staff will self-schedule based on unit needs with input from the Nurse Manager. Block scheduling requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
