Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required, 13-week assignment

Highlights:

• 36-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Varied patient population including COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, and general surgery cases
• Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• 24-hour orientation provided with floating to all Med-Surg units as needed
• First-time travelers welcome; strong Med-Surg background required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Current BLS and NIH certifications required
• OCN and Chemotherapy Administration certifications preferred
• Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
• Competency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line management, peripheral line care, and IV starts
• Experience with respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• Must be willing to float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
