Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical - Neuro

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical - Neuro to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing neuro surgical procedures and addressing various neuro diagnoses.

Job Details

  • Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
  • Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week; nights
  • Contract Length: 13-26 weeks accepted
  • Orientation: 2 orientation shifts on the unit following hospital-based orientation
  • Scrubs: Navy

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients with neuro surgical needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient assessments and care using EPIC and SBAR communication.
  • Participate in a Storm Team or Hurricane Team, responding to catastrophic events as needed.
  • Floating to other units may be required.
  • Fulfill weekend shift requirements, approximately 12-16 shifts per contract.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications required: BCLS.
  • Preferred certification: NIH.
  • Neuro experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

Contract staff will be expected to work during emergencies and may be preassigned to different units as needed based on organizational requirements. Please inquire about any blocked scheduling options during the submission process.
