Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour mid shifts (1100-2330 or 1500-0330), includes weekends and holidays. Patient ratio of 4:1. Floating to other departments required as needed. 20 hours of orientation provided.

  • Comprehensive emergency department serving nearly 45,000 patients annually across all age groups
  • Epic charting system with advanced facility infrastructure including 40 exam rooms and 19 vertical care spaces
  • Daily census of approximately 140 patients with robust interdisciplinary support services
  • Opportunity to serve on the hospital rapid response team providing emergent care throughout the facility
  • Free onsite parking available

Requirements:

  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
  • Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
  • Trauma Level II experience required; Level I experience preferred
  • Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
