Contract | Evening shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week (11:00–23:30 or 15:00–03:30), includes weekends and holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to both adult and pediatric patient populations in a fast-paced ED environment
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, including identification of lethal rhythms and heart blocks
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications required – AHA only
- TNCC certification required
- Minimum two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three (3) years
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (adult and pediatric components; passing score of 80% or higher with strict criteria for lethal rhythm identification); up to three attempts permitted under defined conditions
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume, Level I or Level II emergency department
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation in both adult and pediatric patients
- Experience floating across units within an acute care hospital setting
