Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), includes weekends and holidays. Patient ratio 4:1. 20 hours of orientation provided.

Highlights:
  • Fast-paced Emergency Department providing comprehensive care to approximately 45,000 patients annually across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
  • Level IV Trauma Center, Acute Stroke Ready Center, and Pediatric Ready Emergency Department designations
  • 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces with flex capacity to accommodate surges in patient volume
  • Epic EMR system utilized throughout the facility
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Coordinate with ground ambulance services and Med Flight for critically ill and injured patients
  • Travel assignment with free onsite parking provided
Requirements:
  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only) required
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
  • Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Previous travel experience required
  • Must pass telemetry examination prior to start with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
  • Floating to other units as needed is required
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
