Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour mid shifts (1100-2330 or 1500-0330), includes weekends and holidays, 4:1 patient ratio

Highlights:
  • Level IV Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Center with Pediatric Ready designation
  • Comprehensive care for all age groups including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
  • Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
  • Modern facility with 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces, serving approximately 45,000 patients annually
  • 20 hours of orientation provided with interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
  • Free onsite parking available
Requirements:
  • Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Current BLS, PALS, ACLS (American Heart Association only), and TNCC certifications required
  • Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Must pass telemetry competency examination prior to start date (strict passing criteria applies)
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Willingness to float as needed within the health system
