Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a strong understanding of emergency care protocols, triage experience, and the ability to make quick decisions in critical situations.

Requirements

  • Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • Within the past 8 months, candidates must have worked in an ED with at least 45,600 patient visits annually (approximately 125 per day)
  • Experience with Cerner EMR is required
  • Candidates must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency department
  • Perform triage and prioritize patient needs effectively
  • Maintain compliance with all protocols and standards of care
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Float to other departments within the scope of nursing skills as needed

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for 3x12 hour shifts or 4x12 hour shifts, with every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Vaccination Requirement

All employees are required to have the Flu vaccine.

Additional Information

Candidates must have travel nursing experience.
