Job Summary
An Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse position is available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to infants, children, and young adults in urgent medical situations. The nurse will deliver clinical practice and care coordination aligned with hospital policies, standards, and philosophy, while supporting the healthcare team and ensuring patient safety.

Job Details

  • Location: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Active RN license in the district of Columbia. Two years of full-time or three years of part-time experience in an acute care setting. Recent Pediatric Emergency Nursing experience required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations.
  • Responsibilities: Provide knowledgeable, compassionate clinical care and care coordination to pediatric and young adult patients. Demonstrate leadership and support to the healthcare team while upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety. Utilize Patient Centered Care concepts and demonstrate Service Excellence standards.
