Registered Nurse - Emergency Department | Travel | Concord, NC

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department (ED) in Concord, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trauma care and emergency nursing, capable of handling a wide range of patient conditions. This opportunity is suitable for nurses with significant ED experience who are adaptable to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Start Date: Not specified
  • Shift Details: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a; weekend rotation every other weekend
  • Assignment Length: Not specified
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Local candidates must live 50 miles outside of the home unit

Responsibilities

  • Manage trauma patients, including GSW, stabbing, and MVA cases
  • Provide care for patients with various conditions such as stroke, heart failure, and respiratory illnesses
  • Administer critical care drips and manage blood products
  • Perform conscious sedation, PIV starts, and chest tube management
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to medical emergencies

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years of Emergency Department experience
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications
  • Experience with trauma and stroke care

Preferred:

  • TNCC certification
