Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. No call or float requirements. Contract duration of 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027.
Highlights:
- Level II Trauma Center experience with adult patient population including STEMI, stroke, and trauma cases
- Patient ratios: Non-critical 3:1, Critical 2:1, Medical boarders 5:1
- High-volume emergency department with approximately 170 visits per day across 53 beds
- Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
- 36-hour orientation program with additional pre-start online modules
- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current North Carolina or Compact State RN license
- Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, MOAB, and BLS
- Required skills: IV start, triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
- Trauma experience preferred; ENPC certification preferred
- Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
