Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 36 hours per week. Every other weekend required. No call or float requirements. Contract duration of 20+ weeks through February 27, 2027.

Highlights:

  • Level II Trauma Center experience with adult patient population including STEMI, stroke, and trauma cases
  • Patient ratios: Non-critical 3:1, Critical 2:1, Medical boarders 5:1
  • High-volume emergency department with approximately 170 visits per day across 53 beds
  • Epic EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and respiratory services
  • 36-hour orientation program with additional pre-start online modules
  • First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Current North Carolina or Compact State RN license
  • Required certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, MOAB, and BLS
  • Required skills: IV start, triage, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation
  • Trauma experience preferred; ENPC certification preferred
  • Must successfully pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
