Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER)

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity awaits experienced Registered Nurses in the Emergency Room. Join a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality patient care while managing an assortment of adult emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for adult patients with various conditions including STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma.
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort through effective triage, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
  • Efficiently manage patient ratios: 3:1 for non-critical patients, 2:1 for critical patients, and 5:1 for medical boarders.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient treatment plans.
  • Participate in training and orientation sessions as required.

Contract Details

  • Contract length options: 13 weeks and 20+ weeks available until February 27, 2027.
  • Schedule: Night shifts (36 hours) from 18:45 to 07:15.
  • Every other weekend is required, with no on-call or float requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting.
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply; local candidates are accepted.
  • Required skills: IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation.
  • Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS.
  • Preferred: ENPC certification and trauma experience.

Additional Information

  • Orientation will consist of 36 hours.
  • Standard scrub color: Navy Blue.
  • Individual candidates must pass EKG testing prior to the start of the assignment.
