Assignment Overview

This role involves providing comprehensive care in a Level III trauma center emergency department. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in emergency nursing, with the ability to manage diverse patient diagnoses, including trauma, cardiac, and mental health conditions. The position requires adaptability to float between facilities and the willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma and emergency care to patients
  • Perform cardiac rhythm interpretations and conscious sedation
  • Start peripheral IVs and manage chest tubes
  • Manage critical care drips and blood administration
  • Perform NGT placement and manage drains/tubes

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications
  • 2 years of emergency department experience
  • Trauma and stroke experience

Preferred:

  • TNCC certification
