RN - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Charlotte, NC

Assignment Overview

Join our dynamic team as a MedSurg/Tele RN, focusing on decompression of the Emergency Department and specialty areas within the hospital. This role is ideal for a seasoned RN with a background in medical and telemetry units. The successful candidate will provide care to adult and geriatric patients with a range of diagnoses, including COPD exacerbations and CHF exacerbations.

  • Facility Type: Teaching Hospital
  • Location: Charlotte, NC
  • Work Modality: On-site
  • Shift Details: 3x12 Nights, 7p-7a
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)
  • Local Candidate Policy: Permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Technology/Equipment: Alaris IV Pump, Omnicell Med dispensing, Phillips Monitors
  • Floating: Within region and scope of practice

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients
  • Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Administer medications including cardiac drips and blood products
  • Manage chest tubes, drains, and IVs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
  • Maintain patient documentation in Epic

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, and PIV starts

Preferred:

  • Previous travel nurse experience
