Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of total acute care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of PCU / stepdown nursing experience
• Current acute care experience required within the last 12 months
• BLS and ACLS required
• Epic charting experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Ability to work rotating day and night schedules
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality stepdown nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex hematology and oncology needs
• Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias promptly and accurately
• Administer blood products, IV therapy, electrolytes, and IV antibiotics
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral IVs, and port access as needed
• Support infection prevention and patient fall prevention initiatives
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and interdisciplinary support services
• Maintain safe, efficient care in a busy 24-bed acute care unit with changing patient needs
• Document thoroughly in Epic and communicate effectively with the care team
