Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010

Acute Care RN Job Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Permanent Ohio RN license or compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of permanent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), step-down, or comparable acute-care setting
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Active required certifications must be in hand; pending certifications are not accepted
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• Ability to complete required background, compliance, and pre-employment screening

PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring progressive care or step-down monitoring
• Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge needs
• Support a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
