RN - MedSurg/Tele | Travel | Macon, GA

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a skilled RN with experience in MedSurg/Telemetry for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing a med-surg population, including patients with acute or chronic conditions, cardiac issues, and post-surgical recovery. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift Details: 5x8 Days
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2100 (negotiable)
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Location: Macon, GA
  • Floating: Required to float to all Med/Tele units and ED for holds

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for med-surg/telemetry patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
  • Conduct patient education and discharge planning
  • Start and maintain IV lines, manage chest tubes and care for tracheostomies
  • Administer and titrate specified drips
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
  • 6 months EPIC experience
  • Tele skills including post-cath care and rhythm monitoring
  • Proficiency with specified drips: insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine

Preferred:

  • ACLS certification
  • Certification in med-surg nursing

PEL/VIP Job ID #64873605. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
