Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Trauma ICU – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: November 3, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00), 91-day assignment. Patient ratio 1:2. Float to ICU, IMC, and Telemetry as needed. Half of weekends required.

Highlights:

  • Level I Trauma ICU with 16 beds and a daily census of 14 patients
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Epic charting system utilized throughout the unit
  • Orientation provided with onsite module completion during initial training
  • Adult patient population in a fast-paced trauma environment

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
  • 2 years of nursing experience preferred with 1:2 patient ratio experience
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred
  • Level I Trauma experience preferred
  • Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV starts and maintenance
  • Preferred skills: ICP monitoring, ventilator management
  • Must complete core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Geographic restrictions apply to certain local counties
