Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Dept position requiring MA RN licensure and at least 1-2 years of recent ER experience.

Details

  • Level I Trauma Center emergency department setting
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7p-7a
  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Preferred candidates have OB experience and the ability to titrate cardiac drips
  • Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in hand required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, and critical care drip titration
  • At least 1-2 years of recent ER experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, medication administration, continuous IV sedation, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management required
  • Triage and psych/behavioral health ED experience preferred
  • Two references required for consideration, one of which must be a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
  • Required to pass two pass/fail exams at orientation (medication exam and telemetry exam), each with one attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
  • Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews (FDIs)
  • Pre-start and orientation modules required, with annual completion thereafter
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
  • Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
  • Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
