Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring TX or compact RN license and cardiac telemetry background.

Details

• 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit
• Cares for patients with chest pain, congestive heart failure, advanced heart failure, and syncope
• Supports patients undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, and diagnostic/interventional heart catheterization
• Handles specialized cardiac procedures including Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR
• Unit overflows to general med/surg or non-cardiac patients as needed
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• First to float to Med/Surg if needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required for consideration

• Deliver acute cardiac telemetry nursing care with a focus on stabilizing unit staffing
• Opportunity to precept and mentor newly hired RNs, including RN Residents, as the unit rebuilds its core staff
• Candidates should demonstrate strong engagement and willingness to train others
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
