Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Department of Jewish Studies is looking for 2-3 student Program Assistants to help staff a couple of upcoming public events. We pay $15/hour on a stipend basis, and it''s much easier logistically if the student is already set up in Tulane''s student-employment system (otherwise they''ll need to go through HR verification/paperwork first).

What the role involves:

  • Carrying registration table items to/from the JWST Office (7031 Freret St.) and the event location

  • Staffing the registration table to check guests in

  • Standing at building entrances to direct attendees (including members of the general New Orleans community) to the event

  • Opening doors for registered community guests who don''t have a Tulane Splashcard

  • Breaking down the registration table after the event

  • Helping Tracy Snyder (JWST Operations Manager) carry table items back to the JWST office afterward

Upcoming events (both at Woldenberg Art Center''s Freeman Auditorium):

  1. Sabbath Queen - Screening & Q&A - Oct 14, 6:00-10:00 PM
