Video Editing Summer Intern - Tulane Campus Health
Hours Required: Flexible, 15-30 hours/week
Pay Rate: $12 per hour
Employment Dates: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026 (with possibility to continue)
Job Summary:
Tulane Campus Health is seeking a skilled and creative Video Editing Intern to join our team for the summer. In this role, you will capture and produce engaging video content that promotes Campus Health services and helps students stay informed about relevant health topics.
You will work on a range of video projects-from short-form social media content to larger campaign pieces-collaborating with the marketing and communications team to bring ideas to life.
Supervision:
The Video Editing Intern will report to the Graphic Designer and Web Specialist of Campus Health, Katherine Heneghan.

Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience with video recording and editing techniques.
- Understanding of social media platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills (Not Required, But A Plus):
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or Canva.
- Familiarity with file management tools such as Box.
Responsibilities:
- Video Recording: Capture footage for a variety of projects, including short-form content (Reels/TikToks) and other video initiatives as needed.
- Video Editing: Edit footage into polished, engaging videos optimized for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Video Concepting & Scripting: Collaborate with the marketing and communications interns to develop video concepts, contribute to scripts, and plan visual execution (shots, pacing, transitions, etc.).
- Production Planning: Develop production notes, including shot lists, props, and editing approaches to support efficient filming and strong final products.
- Trend Awareness: Stay informed about current social media trends and video styles to ensure content remains relevant and engaging to a student audience.
- On-Camera Participation (Preferred): Appear in videos as needed, or help coordinate peers who are comfortable participating.
