The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established Southeast regional bank, is adding commercial relationship managers in its Tampa and Orlando markets, two of its fastest-growing in Florida. The bank has built an active presence in both markets and is looking for experienced bankers to add production capacity, with the primary focus on upper-level commercial relationship managers. Multiple seats are open.
Why This Role
- Earning power: Base salary from the mid-$100Ks to above $200K, scaled to level, experience and production, plus uncapped incentive compensation.
- Own your credit: Sponsor and underwrite your own deals rather than handing them off.
- A true relationship manager model: You manage each client from first call through payoff, not a hunter-skinner structure.
- A deposit-driven platform: Goals are built around loans and deposits, with an emphasis on C&I operating accounts.
- Respect for your timing: Flexible start dates around year-end bonuses, with additional arrangements considered individually.
What You’ll Do
- Originate, sponsor and underwrite C&I loans for companies in your market
- Build operating-account deposits and manage relationships through payoff
- Meet production goals of roughly $10MM in loans and deposits at earlier levels, and above $20MM in each at senior levels
- Develop referral relationships and represent the bank in the Tampa or Orlando business community
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of business or commercial relationship management experience
- Several recent years in Tampa or Orlando, with established commercial relationships and a strong market reputation
- Strong credit analysis, underwriting and deal sponsorship skills
- Proven loan and deposit production in C&I banking, with about one-third of deposits in non-interest-bearing operating accounts
Location & Compensation
Based in Tampa or Orlando. Candidates must already be established in one of these markets. Compensation is a competitive base plus uncapped incentive, commensurate with experience and production. Inquiries are handled confidentially through ThinkingAhead.
