    Description

    In the School of Medicine, Deming Department of Medicine, Section of Nephrology Manages and coordinates the Fellowship Programs and is the primary contact for applicants of the fellowship programs and the Program Directors. Responsible for the coordination of activities of the Fellows. This position is the primary contact to the public and University for the Fellowship Program and Program Director. Provides comprehensive secretarial support to the section chief, faculty members and administrator of Section of Nephrology.

    High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years'' directly related experience

    Preferred Qualification:

    Bachelor'' s Degree

    Three (3) or more years'' directly related experience working in a business or academic setting

    Experience with medical graduate education

    Strong administrative and organizational skills

    Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement

    Ability to work independently with little or no instruction or supervision

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others of diverse personalities, education and cultural backgrounds

    Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    Mature and professional attitude is essential

    Good computer skills; working knowledge required: graphics, database, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed

    Strong administrative and organizational skills

    Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement
