About the Role
We are seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to join a skilled nursing and rehabilitation team in Ithaca, NY. This is a great opportunity for a strong clinical leader who enjoys working closely with nursing staff, residents, and leadership to maintain high standards of care.
The RN Unit Manager will work alongside the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations, support staff, and promote a safe, compassionate, and professional environment for residents.

Qualifications
- Current, valid New York State RN license
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care
Responsibilities
- Assist the DON and ADON with the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department
- Provide clinical guidance, leadership, and supervision to nursing staff
- Help ensure appropriate staffing and nursing coverage to meet resident needs
- Monitor nursing practices and promote compliance with facility policies and standards
- Address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances professionally and appropriately
- Assist with employee coaching, counseling, and disciplinary processes when necessary
- Support staff development and promote accountability across the nursing team
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify and address clinical and operational concerns
- Promote a culture focused on resident safety, quality of care, professionalism, and teamwork
