Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Schedule: Full-time, 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); holidays and every other weekend required
- Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Assignment Length: 22 weeks
- Start Date: 10/5/2026
- Work Setting: ICU-focused float pool role with cross-unit support
- Floating: Must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units
- On-Call: 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period

Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Critical Care, or ICU nursing
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through AHA or RQI
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage changing patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and computer skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-centered approach
- Comfort providing care across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in a critical care and hospital float pool environment
- Float between Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department units as needed
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner
- Support patients with a wide range of acuity levels and age-specific needs
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Promote a healing environment that reflects dignity, respect, and teamwork
- Maintain readiness for holiday, weekend, and on-call coverage as scheduled
