Carenest Health Services is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Binghamton, New York.

PAY:
Local Pay - $75/hr on W2.

Travelers Pay: 
Taxable Amount - $42.25/hr on W2
Lodging Stipend - $800 weekly
Meals Stipend - $537 weekly
Weekly Gross - $2,858 weekly including stipend for 36 hours.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position - RN-Intensive Care Unit
Location - Binghamton, NY 13903
Duration - 13 weeks contract
Night Shift - 7 pm to 7:30 am, every 3rd weekend

Weekly Hours - 36 hours 

EMR - EPIC

Required Experience: Experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds. CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia. Stroke patients thrombectomy/TNK. ICU overflow)
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact.
Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources.
Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to UHS Hospitals policy.
Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services.
Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies.
Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices.
Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements.
Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice.
Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
Performs duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned.
Participates in the Clinical Ladder Program as knowledge and expertise develops.
Will perform other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENT:
2+ years od experience within the specilaty required 

New York RN State License

BLS, ACLS
