Job Requirements
- Current New York State RN licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care
- Supervisory experience across multiple units
- Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nursing
- BSN preferred
- BLS certification through AHA or RQI required
- CPI certification obtained within 90 days of hire
- Familiarity with NYSDOH requirements preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
- Computer literacy and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of nursing units during assigned shifts
- Provide direct or delegated clinical supervision to staff across multiple units
- Support quality resident care through coaching, teaching, and team leadership
- Collaborate with leadership, medical staff, department managers, and ancillary teams to resolve unit concerns
- Make sound administrative decisions in the absence of senior leadership during off-shifts and weekends
- Promote a professional, respectful, and healing care environment
- Respond appropriately to issues involving bloodborne pathogen exposure risk and follow established safety practices
- Help foster teamwork, accountability, and excellent resident-centered care
