POSITION SUMMARY
The Office of Student Experience supports students to engage in campus life, empower students and develop leaders through meaningful engagement, student leadership development, and intentional learning.
This role assists with daily office operations, communication efforts, program coordination, and administrative projects that support students, and works closely with the professional staff while gaining experience in communication, organization, customer service, and higher education administration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Greet and assist students, families, and campus visitors in a professional and welcoming manner through phone, email, and in-person communication.
- Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, document organization, and updating internal tracking systems.
- Support office outreach efforts by helping create presentations, flyers, and digital communication materials for students and supervisors.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling student information and office records.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position operates primarily in a professional office. Students may work independently on assigned projects while also collaborating regularly with staff and other student employees. The environment is fast-paced during peak seasons and requires strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
Students will receive ongoing supervision, feedback, and support throughout their employment experience.

WORK SCHEDULE
- Hours will be assigned based on office needs, student availability, and Federal Work Study award limits.
- Students may work up to 20 hours per week during the academic semester; hours may not exceed the Federal Work Study award allocation.
- Shifts are available during regular office hours, generally Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Scheduling is coordinated with the supervisor.
- Schedule changes must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance except in cases of emergency.
- This position does not guarantee hours beyond the Federal Work Study award amount. Students must monitor their remaining balance throughout the award period.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly Rate: This position is paid at an hourly rate as established by the institution's student employment wage scale. Specific rate will be confirmed upon hire.
- Award Usage: Federal Work Study earnings are not automatically applied to tuition or fees; students receive a paycheck for hours worked.
- Timekeeping: Students are responsible for reporting hours accurately and in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines. Misreporting hours is subject to disciplinary action.
