Material & Equipment Coordinator | Full-Time

Overview: The Material and Equipment Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight, coordination, organization and timely procurement of specialty materials, supplies, and equipment for the various areas of assigned department. Preferred Licensure/Certification: Paramedic/Emergency Department Technician/Anesthesia Technician Required.

Overview: The Material and Equipment Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight, coordination, organization and timely procurement of specialty materials, supplies, and equipment for the various areas of assigned department. The Material and Equipment Coordinator is the resource for the acquisition of supplies, services, and equipment along with inventory par levels and inventory control. Qualifications:

Required Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education:

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree

Necessary Skills:

• Knowledge in all aspects of supply/equipment processing, ordering or automated system.
• Experience with standard office software.
• Clinical efficiency.
• Ability to educate staff regarding the use and cleaning of specialized equipment related to assigned department/division. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge in the use of universal precautions.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to make decisions independently; self driven and a skilled negotiator

 

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Licensure/Certification:

• Paramedic/Emergency Department Technician/Anesthesia Technician Required

Experience:

• 1-2 years' experience with supply operations or direct patient care in a clinical environment Preferred 

Preferred Experience:

• 3-5 years EDT or Anesthesia Tech or 1-2 years Paramedic experience
