Fancypants is East Nashville s playful, vegetable-forward fine dining restaurant from the Honest to Goodness Hospitality team (Butcher & Bee, Redheaded Stranger). Since opening in July 2024, we ve earned a reputation for cooking that s creative, seasonal, and seriously delicious served in a space where fine dining is a little less serious and a lot more fun.
We re looking for experienced line cooks to join Chef Mathew Meeker s kitchen. You ll cook over a custom wood-burning grill built by Grills by Demant in Atlanta, work with produce from local farms, and help execute a prix fixe menu that changes with the seasons. The Schedule
We re open Thursday through Sunday nights only. That means 2 3 full days off every week real days off, not the kind where you re back at 7 AM the next morning. We believe cooks do their best work when they re rested, and we built our schedule around that.
What You ll Do
Execute nightly service on your assigned station with consistency and precision
Prep seasonal, vegetable-forward dishes using ingredients from local farms and purveyors
Cook over live wood fire on our Demant grill managing heat, timing, and flavor
Maintain your station to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Collaborate with Chef Meeker and the kitchen team to refine and evolve the menu
What We re Looking For
Professional line cooking experience in a from-scratch kitchen
Strong knife skills and a solid grasp of cooking fundamentals
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling practices
The ability to stay organized, take direction, and work calmly under pressure
A genuine passion for food, ingredients, and the craft of cooking
Must be 18 years of age or older
