LEAD LINE COOK / KITCHEN LEAD

Fred s is a busy daytime cafe in Detroits Eastern Market, and we re looking for an experienced line cook who knows how to lead a kitchen through service.

This isn t a position for someone who just wants to work their station.

We re looking for the person who sees the entire line someone who can call tickets, communicate clearly, recognize where the kitchen is getting backed up, move people where they re needed, and keep service organized and moving when the pressure hits.

You should be comfortable taking charge of a line and leading our team through busy lunches and weekend rushes.

What we re looking for:

This is a hands-on cooking position with leadership responsibility not a management job where you stand around with a clipboard.

You ll work closely with our chef and ownership and have an opportunity to become an important part of a growing restaurant.
