Position: Land Use Attorney
Experience Required: 7-10+ years
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Representation: Represent property owners, builders, and local governments
  • Legal Proceedings: Appear before planning commissions, city councils, county boards, LUBA, and Oregon Court of Appeals
  • Land Use Matters: Handle zoning, permitting, comprehensive plans, and development approvals
  • Team Collaboration: Work with multidisciplinary teams (planners, engineers, developers)
  • Legal Compliance: Stay current with Oregon land use legislation and policy changes
Required Qualifications:
  • 7-10+ years land use experience
  • Oregon bar admission (Washington preferred)
  • Strong oral/written communication and research skills
  • Experience with zoning, permitting, and development approvals
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
Preferred Experience:
  • Environmental and natural resources law
  • Real estate and development law
  • Municipal law
  • Oregon's unique land use requirements
  • Public hearing experience
Work Environment:
