Roles & Responsibilities

Laboratory Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory maintenance to ensure hardware and related infrastructure are operational and
  • compliant with organizational standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of hardware components and equipment critical to incident
  • detection and response.
  • Execute client hardware racking, including physical installation, cabling, and organization within data lab
  • environments for additional configuration work.
  • Conduct patching and firmware updates on hardware device s to maintain security and functionality.
  • Configure hardware systems according to predefined specifications and operational requirements to support
  • incident detection and response activities.
  • Maintain documentation related to hardware configurations, maintenance schedules, and inventory status.
  • Support troubleshooting and repair activities to minimize downtime and ensure hardware reliability.
  • Adhere to compliance and security policies relevant to hardware handling and configuration within the incident
  • detection and response context.
  • Utilize internal tools and systems for tracking maintenance activities, inventory management, and configuration
  • changes.

International Logistics Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage international shipping and receiving activities for hardware components and equipment
  • used in incident detection and response operations.
  • Ensure compliance with global shipping regulations, customs requirements, and Cisco's internal policies for
  • non-production and production hardware shipments.
  • Maintain accurate shipment documentation, tracking, and reporting to support hardware inventory and
  • incident response readiness.
  • Provide guidance and support to Cisco employees and mailroom/lobby ambassadors on shipping and
  • receiving processes and policies.
  • Raise and manage support cases related to shipping issues through Cisco's internal HelpZone system.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays or issues to minimize operational impact.
  • Support remote and hybrid work scenarios by facilitating Global Shipping Application (GSA) access and
  • shipment creation.
  • Work closely with incident detection and response teams to prioritize hardware shipments critical to
  • security operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international shipping best practices and emerging logistics technologies.

Salary Range: $64,000 - $110000 a year
