Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a detail-oriented FAI & Quality Document Specialist for a quality assurance opportunity in Tulsa. This position supports quality and document-control processes by preparing First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation, maintaining quality records, reviewing documents for accuracy, and helping ensure documentation meets customer and company requirements.

The ideal candidate has previous quality documentation, document control, or manufacturing quality experience and is highly organized, accurate, and comfortable working with technical documents and drawings.

Previous First Article Inspection documentation experience is a plus.

Required Experience & Skills

• Previous quality documentation or document-control experience preferred
• FAI / First Article Inspection documentation experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare First Article Inspection packages
• Maintain FAI documentation
• Review quality documents for completeness and accuracy
• Verify documentation meets applicable requirements
• Organize and maintain quality records
• Track quality documentation
• Update records when required
• Support document-control processes
• Maintain current versions of applicable documentation
• Assist with quality audits
• Retrieve records and documentation for audit activities
• Review customer specifications and requirements
• Help ensure documentation meets customer expectations
• Coordinate documentation with Production personnel
• Work with Engineering on technical documentation
• Support Quality personnel with records and document requirements
• Identify missing, incomplete, or inaccurate information
• Communicate documentation concerns to appropriate personnel
• Maintain organized electronic and physical records
• Perform additional quality and document-control responsibilities as assigned  

First Article Inspection Documentation

FAI documentation is an important part of this position.

Candidates may be responsible for:

• Preparing FAI packages
• Organizing applicable inspection documentation
• Reviewing information for completeness
• Verifying applicable records are included
• Comparing documentation against customer requirements
• Maintaining completed FAI records
• Updating documentation when revisions are required
• Coordinating with Quality, Engineering, and Production to obtain necessary information  

Previous hands-on FAI documentation experience is highly valuable.

Quality Document Control

• Maintain organized quality records
• Track document status
• Update applicable records
• Verify documents are current and accurate
• Identify missing information
• Support document revisions
• Maintain appropriate document organization
• Help ensure quality information is readily available when needed
• Follow established document-control procedures  

Technical Documents & Drawings

Candidates should be comfortable:

• Reading technical documents
• Reviewing manufacturing drawings
• Identifying applicable specifications
• Comparing documentation against requirements
• Reviewing revisions and updates
• Identifying inconsistencies or missing information
• Communicating technical-document concerns to appropriate personnel  

Audit Support

• Assist with internal or external audit preparation
• Organize requested quality documentation
• Retrieve applicable records
• Verify documents are complete and accessible
• Support document review during audits
• Assist with follow-up documentation when required  

Cross-Functional Coordination

The FAI & Quality Document Specialist will work closely with:

• Quality
• Engineering
• Production
• Other applicable manufacturing personnel  

Strong communication and follow-through are important to ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Microsoft Office & Computer Skills

Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using computer systems for:
