An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a full time Business Support Officer to provide administrative support to the Waste and Street Scene Service within the Environment Directorate. The role is office based at our Selby Depot on Prospect View. The role is office based, working from home or another office on a Monday only.
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated administrator with excellent communication and customer care skills to join our forward‑thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service that is continually evolving, where your ideas and proactive approach will be valued.
In this varied role, you will undertake a wide range of duties including waste administration, reception responsibilities, supporting customers with waste-related enquiries, and accurate data input using Excel and bespoke systems. You will also support financial processes, including invoice processing and raising purchase orders, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the service.

The successful candidate will have strong keyboard skills and be confident using Word, Excel, databases and Outlook. You will possess good literacy and numeracy skills, along with excellent organisational abilities.
