We are working with a highly respected, long-established Jacksonville litigation firm that is looking to add an Associate Attorney to its growing insurance defense practice.

Job Details
We are seeking a Florida-barred Associate Attorney with 0–3 years of experience to join the firm's Jacksonville office.
Recently admitted attorneys are absolutely encouraged to apply. Prior insurance defense experience is not required.
The practice will focus primarily on general liability and automobile liability defense, with opportunities to gain exposure to additional areas of civil litigation.
You will work directly with experienced attorneys while taking on increasing responsibility as your experience and confidence grow.
Responsibilities may include:
Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
Reviewing medical records, claims materials, and discovery
Attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings
Communicating directly with clients and insurance carriers
Taking and defending depositions as experience develops
Managing deadlines and taking increasing ownership over matters
Assisting with mediation and trial preparation
Qualifications:
Active Florida Bar membership
0–3 years of attorney experience
Newly admitted Florida attorneys are encouraged to apply
Strong legal research and writing skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Genuine interest in litigation and developing meaningful hands-on experience
Insurance defense, general liability, auto liability, premises liability, or other civil litigation experience is helpful but not required
