This position requires an on-premise position at Trident Technical College Thornley Campus, North Charleston, SC. Compressed 40-hour work week with half days on Fridays. Extended hours (weekends/nights) may be required for event preparation.

Job Responsibilities

The Administrative Coordinator I provides administrative and operational support to the Assistant Vice President for Academic Services and Initiatives, with a focus on Continuing Education and Academic Affairs. This role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining data for state reporting, coordinating course creation and student records within Continuing Education and ERP systems, and serving as a liaison among Academic Affairs, Admissions, the Registrar, Distance Learning Services, and Continuing Education. The position supports registration processes, ensures data integrity, assists with workflow development, manages academic space and room reservations, maintains divisional web and digital content, supports accreditation activities, and participates in professional development and college-wide initiatives.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

High school diploma and relevant experience in administrative services, business management, or public administration. A bachelors degree may be substituted for the required work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have an associate degree with relevant administrative experience, ideally within workforce training, Continuing Education, or higher education settings. Strong skills in data management, reporting, and ERP systems are desired, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills; the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision; and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving technology and changing deadlines.
