Job Summary:
This Administrative Assistant 1 will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Medical Director, attending physicians and operations of the Child & Adol IP Psych department. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Organize and maintain calendars for providers • Schedule patient appointments • Triage calls • Prepare, update and maintain patient charts and files • Organize, maintain, and coordinate the information flow of legal paperwork on behalf of the unit • Coordinate with internal and external parties to schedule court appointments • Take and distribute meeting minutes and agendas • Order supplies utilizing an automated and manual purchase order process • Update daily census reports for unit
Special projects and other duties may be assigned. Must maintain confidentiality of highly confidential and protected medical information.
Minimum Qualifications:
New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer. or Open competitive (Non-competitive, NY HELPS) Qualifications:
If you are not currently on the NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible list for the Administrative Assistant 1 title or are not currently a permanent Administrative Assistant 1, SG11, you may be eligible to be considered for appointment at the Traineeship Level, see below the requirements to be considered for appointment to a Traineeship.
Administrative Assistant Trainee 1 Transfer Eligibility Requirement:

Work Days:
Schedule is based on a 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
