Dover-Sherborn Public Schools is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Assistant Superintendent and Business Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/Certification: Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- CORI clearance
- Knowledge, understanding, and demonstrated aptitude or competence in the performance responsibilities listed below
- Must possess strong organizational skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects professionally
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, prioritize tasks and work independently with a high degree of accuracy
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Must be team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing in-service training as requested
- Must maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information as required by law
- Demonstrated aptitude or competence for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee tasks associated with the operations of the office
- Provides administrative support to the Assistant Superintendent and Business Administrator
- Field phone calls from parents, vendors, employees and retirees
- Open and review mail. Process incoming correspondence and flag priority/sensitive mail and email
- Process, filing, and distribution of all information related to professional development and maintaining PDPs
- Department of Elementary and Secondary Education- Prepare School Attending Report, Request MEPIDS for new employees, -prepare Licensure Status Report
- Schedule appointments and coordinate arrangements for meetings/conferences
- Assist with preparation of the school districts' annual budgets
- Process purchase orders
- Process Homeschool requests and maintain files
- Collaborate with bus liaison on routes for students and assist parents, students, and administration with bus issues
- Compose various bid packages and protocols related to capital projects
- Manage health, dental and life insurance benefits for both employees and retirees, including health fairs for both groups and coordinate wellness programs for employees
- Process monthly health insurance payments and maintain monthly spreadsheets for retirees
- Maintain Aspen-based employee database for employees; enter new employees
- Attendance for Administration Building
- Schedule building use for outside groups, including invoicing
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent and/or Business Administrator
Reports to both the Assistant Superintendent and Business Administrator
Terms of Employment: 12-month contract
Salary: Compensation in accordance with recommendations established by the Superintendent of Schools. Salary range depends on experience.
