Job Details

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This person will help coordinate project documentation, subcontractors, vendors, schedules, budgets, and communication between the project team and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with the overall coordination and management of commercial construction projects
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and clients
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and other project documentation
Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Assist with project scheduling and tracking
Monitor project budgets, costs, and commitments
Participate in project and subcontractor meetings
Maintain accurate project records and documentation
Assist with subcontractor procurement and contract administration
Track project progress and communicate updates to the project team
Help identify and resolve project issues
Coordinate closely with field personnel to ensure project plans are being executed properly
Assist with project closeout and turnover
Visit active job sites as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Commercial construction experience
Understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation
Experience working with subcontractors and vendors
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred
Valid driver's license
