Quality Staffing, Inc., also doing business as Goddard Mason Executive Search, a leading full-service employment agency matching qualified talent with some of the area's top companies, is looking for an experienced Administrative Services Assistant to work through our agency as a contract employee with the Tennessee Department of Health (TN DOH) located in Nashville, TN. This is a hybrid positionworking from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $28.50 per hour.

Administrative Assistant Job Description:
The Division of Family Health and Wellness, within the Tennessee Department of Health, is seeking an Administrative Services Assistant 4 to support the following programmatic areas: Mortality reduction Program, Child Fatality Review Program, Perinatal Regionalization, Perinatal Telehealth, and Rural Fetal and infant Health Initiative (RFIHI). This position supports section operations, meetings, grant activities, purchasing, shipping, and travel coordination, and program coordination with staff, contractors, and community partners. Applicants must be local to the Nashville area as in-person attendance will be required for onboarding and for periodic in-person meetings; travel to the Nashville office will be non-reimbursable.

Administrative Assistant Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining fiscal and administrative documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Coordinating invoice and payment processing with fiscal and contract staff.
  • Preparing reports, correspondence, presentations, and meeting materials.
  • Maintaining organized electronic and hard-copy program files and records.
  • Supporting stakeholder communication and community partnership activities.
  • Handling confidential information in accordance with TDH policies.
  • Supporting additional section projects and activities as assigned.


Education & Minimum Requirements for Administrative Assistant position:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's or a bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience providing administrative, operational, or fiscal support is preferred.
