Tennessee State University College of Business invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant IV. Responsibilities include:
• Assists Department of Business Administration in administrative and clerical duties. • Composes non-routine correspondence. • Prepares meeting agendas, attends meetings, keeps records, and prepares draft of minutes of meetings for administrative review. • Keeps student personnel, financial, statistical, and other important records for the Department of Business Administration. • Maintains and reviews interactions and correspondence memoranda and reports. • Prepares travel arrangements for department chair and faculty. • Assists in the Deans Office on an as-needed basis. • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications ----------------------
Graduation from high school or equivalency GED and a minimum of three years administrative experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to manage multiple projects and time effectively, ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions to compose a variety of memoranda or letters with only general instructions, and to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, employees, and alumni. Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products as well as phone systems is required.
